When creating our preferred product list, real thought was put into how the list was compiled. We very quickly learned that equine vets were very protective of their clinical freedom and although increased rebates were always appreciated, they were not necessarily the deciding factor in an equine vet making a product choice.
So we researched which products were popular with our equine members and were able to negotiate better terms and also able to incorporate CPD and client support. Our manufacturer partners in the equine group bring a lot of value added services to our members and we were keen to ensure these were recognised and utlilised by our equine practices.
By offering enhanced rebates and strong manufacturer support, our equine members were able to enjoy benefits via our group without having their clinical freedom impacted. This balance has been important in growing our group’s membership.
